Nikon has released new firmware for a number of its Nikon Z cameras including the Nikon Z5, Z6, Z7 and Z50. While the firmware version number might differ between each of the cameras, they all bring support for the Nikon FTZ II lens adapter and Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 S lens, announced alongside the new Nikon Z9. They also all receive improved face/eye detection performance and increased visibility in low light when working with flash. The Z6 and Z7 also get a few more fixes and updates on top of these to further improve eye detection performance and user feedback.

The Nikon Z5 gets upgraded from firmware v1.11 to v1.20 and the Nikon Z50 goes from v2.11 to 2.20. Both updates provide the following changes.

The Nikon Z6 and Z7 (note, this is NOT the Z6 II and Z7 II) both go from v3.31 to v3.40 and see the following changes and updates. The new updates can be downloaded from the Nikon website at the following links…
