Pergear has been going a bit nuts lately on the low-budget lenses. It was only in March that they released their 35mm f/1.6 and 50mm f/1.8 lenses with the 7.5mm f/2.8 fisheye just last month. Now, they’ve sent one fo their existing focal lengths into overdrive and announced the new Pergear 35mm f/1.2 manual focus lens. Designed for Micro Four Thirds and APS-C mirrorless cameras, it’s available in MFT, Nikon Z, Canon EF-M, Fuji X and Sony E mounts. The best bit? It’s only $109.
The lens features full metal construction and weighs in at 210g. IT features TPU to help increase durability and use in extreme temperatures. It has only 6 elements in 5 groups with Multi-MC coatings to help increase light transmission, contrast and colour accuracy while reducing flare and ghosting. The fast f/1.2 aperture is controlled by 10 blades. At this price, it’s the kind of lens one might consider buying purely for the sake of curiosity to see how it performs. Will it be as good as Canon’s fancy f/1.2 L glass? Well, no, probably not. But it also doesn’t cost anywhere near as much.
The Pergear 35mm f/1.2 is available to buy now for $109 in MFT, Nikon Z, Canon EF-M, Sony E and Fuji X mounts and comes with front and rear lens caps, a hood, a pouch to keep it in and an air blower to help keep it clean and dust-free.
